- Caffeine is highly soluble in water, consequently 80% of the
caffeine in tea is released in the first 30 seconds of steeping. Taking advantage of
this fact, you can still enjoy quality tea, with little loss of flavor, without
most of the caffeine!
Heat twice the normal amount of water for your
tea, prepare your tea as usual, but, just steep for 30 seconds. Pour off the thirty
second rinse, refill the cup with the rest of the boiling water and steep for the usual
time, we suggest that you do not increase your normal steeping time.
